Over the past 23 years, Mr. Betzner has played a key role in many technically challenging
projects, including the following recent assignments:
Pennypack Creek Watershed
Project Production lead- project manager. A forty square mile, two foot accuracy contour map
for eleven municipalities in Bucks & Montgomery Counties falling within the Pennypack Creek Watershed.
Fort Washington/Ambler, PA. Watershed Study Twenty five square mile mapping project abutting the Pennypack Creek Watershed Mapping Project. Data
will be used in all planning aspects within the covered region. Primary focus of the project is new FEMA certified flood plain
maps.
Brooklyn Bridge Park High visibility project under taken for NYC Planning Commission. The project feature list contained
over one hundred forty separate layers. This project was used for the planning of recreation areas along the East River.
New
Croton Aqueduct This project involved large scale mapping for twenty
nine aboveground point of entry sites into the Aqueduct. The Aqueduct which provides New York City with 15% of its water in
April through November is shut down December through March. While performing the photogrammetric mapping an underground Survey
is taking place simultaneously.
Immaculata College This one foot study covered over
five hundred acres and was used for the planning of new campus facilities. Project completion date 02-2005.
Province of Neuquen, Argentina Served
as production manager for international photogrammetric and cadastral mapping project estimated at $2.5 million. Created batch
processes, macros, and production workbook. Coordinated all project activities through quality control, digital edit, and
into GIS processing phase.
San Juan, Puerto
Rico Large 1:1000 scale mapping project covering the Old San
Juan district. Mr. Betzner as production lead was responsible for the quality control aspect of the
digital mapping product ensuring seamless connectivity over the entire data set. Mr. Betzner was also directing involved in
the initial procurement phases of the project.
US Naval Military
Installations, Japan Mr. Betzner served as production lead on this
unclassified project. Over ten bases were mapped at 1”=20’scale with a 0.5 contour interval. This project consisted
of over 120 separate GIS layers. The terrain component on this project was one of the difficult aspects of the project and
various QC measures we implemented to insure a quality topographic data set.
Bell
Atlantic As lead compiler was responsible for creating innovative time saving techniques
that were employed during the production effort to keep the project on time and within budget.
Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) Lead
compiler, technical support for the topographic mapping (4 foot contour interval) and digital orthophotography in support
of mapping the Colorado River Basin from San Saba to Matagorda, a distance of approximately 250 linear miles.
Lancaster County, PA Production
lead - initial mapping project in 1993; land base updating services in 1998 - 2000. The original 1,000
square mile area was flown at 1” = 1600’ for production 1" = 200' GIS land base mapping.
BAE SYSTEMS ADR produced five (5’) foot contours using DEM processing. All data was delivered
in ARC/INFO Librarian format adhering to the County’s detailed data base design.
Camden
to Trenton Rail Line Served as production and compilation manager for rail line mapping
project. Created batch processes, macros, and production workbook. Coordinated all project activities through digital edit
and into GIS processing.
